BARTHOLOMEW😭😭😭

I had a feeling when I first started this book, it was going to be five stars. Needless to say, it was a five star read for me. Heck, it gets all the stars!!! I think I'm going to need 3-5 business days to write my review because right now I don't have the words to say how much I loved this. Will I have the words then? I don't know.

Now please excuse me while I go lie down and process that ending.

Once I finished The Front Runner, I obviously had to dive right in to A False Start. Age gap? Brother's best friend? Grumpy ММ? Sold. Say no more. I was so ready for Nadia's book when we met her in The Front Runner and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved her attitude, her fierceness, and her growth. Hands down, my favorite FMC of this series. Our grumpy Griffin, this man had so many obstacles to overcome but he became the man Nadia needed him to be. The man she knew he could be despite his past. He had so much depth to him and his development made me continuously fall in love with him. Needless to say, I loved these two 🩷

After losing his leg in a car accident, Riley Mitchell no longer knows who he is anymore without hockey. Enter Lexi Armstrong, our independent, badass athletic trainer for the team who is there to help Riley through his rehabilitation and determined to not let Riley give up.

Moment of honesty? This book was perfect and just might have surpassed Face Off in being my favorite the series. Maverick and Emmy will always have a special place in my heart, but Riley and Lexi are transcendent. I have no words to how much I loved their story. 5% in to this book and I was already crying and knew that it was going to be an emotional rollercoaster. Then as I finished it and I put my kindle down, I cried out of happiness.

Chelsea really gave us a powerful story with Riley and Lexi. This is an absolute must read for me and don’t be surprised if I recommend it like a million times if you ask for a book rec.

Thank you so much to Chelsea and her team for the arc πŸ’•

My heart was ripped out of my chest, broken to pieces and then put back together again with this one. This was such a beautiful second chance and Tarah did a phenomenal job. From the very moment Ellis yelled β€œShe’s still a Byrd” in Savor It, I knew I needed their story. I could already sense the yearning he had for Wren and boy do we see it.

Since he was six years old, this man knew he belonged to her, in some capacity he was always hers. From a letter to a piece of paper on Wren’s table, he knew that he couldn’t give up on them and had to try no matter what. And what better way than a road trip. One road trip. A trip that will give them the space to talk and a second chance. One week to get it right.

Wren and Ellis spoke with each other about all the hard stuff: the mistakes and heavy truths that lead them to their divorce. There was so much vulnerability and raw emotion between them and gosh did it make me an emotional wreck. Their history, their love story just make you FEEL. Their trip though wasn’t just difficult conversations, there was also joy and learning to have fun with one another again.

I think it’s going to be a long while until I can get over this one. Ellis and Wren will forever live in my heart ❀️

Thank you so much to SMP for the eGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Talk about a romantasy debut! When I first saw the premise of this book, it sounded so interesting and I knew I needed to read it. Fae, dragons, sentient magic, a SMOKE daddy? All set in a wild west fantasy world? Yes please! Karley did such a good job and drew me in from the very beginning. And talk about a slow burn! Auria and Bowen together always had me on the edge of my seat and I just loved them. Now I’m going to have to (im)patiently wait for book two because that cliffhanger?! Karley, I need answers!!!

Okay this book was so freaking cute and just what I’ve been needing lately!! It was so well written and the audiobook delivered. Aiden and Lucie made me stupid giddy and I just couldn’t get enough of them.

Gah, I’m going to be thinking about this one for a long while (and about Aiden’s slutty little chain because apparently I now have a thing for those).

I’m in my Emily Henry era and this is right up there with Book Lovers for me.

I absolutely love Abby’s books, but this one didn’t do it for me. While the audiobook was phenomenal and the narrators did amazing, the storyline was just missing something for me. I had a difficult time for how much Xavier gave up and how run down he became for Samantha. It personally just rubbed me the wrong way I guess? This feeling just stuck with me throughout the book and made me enjoy it less.

Another trip to Wells Ranch in the books and I have fallen even more in love. Bailey, I adore you and these characters so much.

Denver and Blair were everything. Since they were kids, Denny has been so far gone for Blair and when he finally sees her again for the first time in years, he literally falls off a horse. From that moment on, he is determined to win her back and y’all, the yearning this man has for her is insane. These two had me swooning and their chemistry was off the charts. And the spice? It was perfect. I also loved the flashbacks, seeing them as kids growing up, being young and in love. They were woven in seamlessly and helped us understand how their pasts affected the present. Bailey also did a wonderful job at handling the sensitive and tough topics that Blair and Denny went through. This was such a beautifully done second chance that really had me feeling all the emotions (and reaching for my box of tissues).

I still can’t believe I was given the opportunity to read this. Thank you so so much to Random House / Dell for the arc πŸ’•

I was not a fan of the audio which really affected how much I enjoyed the story. Once I stopped and read it on my kindle,  that’s when I started getting into it.

Overall it was enjoyable, but not until I eyeball read it halfway in.
