Fantastic world building, genuine representation, and a plot that took exciting twists and turns that felt satisfying by the end.

The first 3rd felt a little slow for me, and descriptions for some of the important details to the story—like the lines of succession—were hard to keep track at times. I account the second part to using the audiobook. There were a handful of chapters I had to listen to twice in order to keep everything straight. In hindsight, I probably should’ve read the text or at least followed along with it while going through the audiobook.
