3.5 ⭐️ // this was really sweet and wholesome, and it was so refreshing to see some diversity in HR. that being said, i don’t know that this is THE courtney milan book for me. i would love to read more from her in the future!!!

again with the racism. this rivals “the horse and his boy” in its racism. poor note to end on.

a very odd end to the series. one might even say unsatisfying.

this was gunning to be a 5 star read for me until the end. i feel that the pacing towards the end was rushed, and i was left wanting more. there were certain characters and storylines that did not get closure that i would have liked to explore more, particularly Dre’s. i think an extra 50 pages or so would’ve been well worth it.
