I enjoyed this book, but I wouldn’t say the story makes a ton of sense. Some parts flowed well, but other times things felt jumbled and confusing. The mystery doesn’t get solved and while that’s fine, we didn’t really make any progress on the mystery. I plan to read the next book in the series because I need to know how it gets solved! It’s a cute book, something to curl up and read. Just wanted more!
Maybe I’ll come back to it one day. Just not quite what I expected.

What an incredible way to end a trilogy! I enjoyed reading this series and I wish I could’ve read this when I was the same age as the characters. They tell such an incredible story while teaching life lessons that even impacted me as a 27 year old. I love this series.

My first high fantasy! I actually really enjoyed this book. To me, it was more like a fantasy cozy mystery. Relaxing read with some fun twists. I enjoyed getting to know Viv, Tandri, Cal, and Thimble. I thought it was a well written story with good character development. I wouldn’t classify this as romance, more so just a DND inspired book with maybe a smooch or two.

I really enjoyed Pestilence, so I was quite excited to read War. This one was pretty decent; I’m still excited to read the last two in the series. I enjoyed the main characters pretty well, too. Overall, a good book. Personally, I am not super into fantasy, but I’m trying! And this series has been a great stepping stone for me.
