I don't even know what to write for this review. I was right about mostly everything, so is it really a twist if you figure it out? Literally figured it out at 18% - just not the exact reasons, which sometimes I feel like Freida doesn't even know why her characters do what they do.

I don't know. It was good, I guess? Like... not my fave, but not the worst - just kinda meh. Also, a man's POV? Disgusting.

Don't ask me if I'm okay because the answer will be no. I cannot express how much ache I feel in my chest after finishing this book. It was slow and painful, yet so fast and all consuming. I love beautiful and lyrical writing like this and I applaud C.G. Drews for their work.

One part that hurt me instantly was
when Andrew was looking for Dove on Halloween. As soon as they were in the forest together, I just knew. I said aloud to myself, "She's dead." before we ever reached the flashback chapter, before we even caught up with Thomas.

I think not knowing the truth is a good way to end books like this. The yearning to know and not know is one of my favorite feelings. Younger me would have held this book so tight, highlighting every little word and making notes in the margins. Older me feels the same (but I listened to the book, so no highlighting for me). Angst, grief, confusion, absolute ache - that's what this book will give you.

Short, spicy, and to the point. Nothing like a Halloween read in the middle of May! 👻

Ya know, it’s been awhile since I’ve read a Frieda McFadden. But even as time passes, I still figure out the end (mostly). My one and only question is what the FUCK was up with the pomegranate juice?! Why was that such a major goddamn thing?! Every single day. What was the point?!!??!?!?!! We never know! It annoyed me so much.

This was a fine book I guess. I figured it out with about, oh, 3 hours left of the audiobook. So a little more than halfway. I dunno, man. All I can say is that I hope her newest books are better and more shocking; this was like 50 first dates with some twists.

As a paranormal investigator and history buff, I absolutely love this graphic novel. Firstly, the artwork is so beautiful and dynamic. I found myself lingering on each page just to take in all the work that went into creating this book.

The storyline was so good. Truly. Chelsea’s struggles with her own identity, family, and just being a teenager were so well done. I laughed. I cried. I truly enjoyed this book more than anything. It is perfect.

I liked this! Read this because I saw a friend post about it and that was all the encouragement I needed. Brinley & Wolfe were adorable.
Not a 5 star read for me because there were some small errors and some things I didn’t absolutely loved. But other than that, it was an enjoyable dark romance!

Did I just sit here at work and read this entire thing in like 15 minutes? Yes. And guess what else? I loved it.
