I went into this book with my guard up because of all the negative things I’ve heard about it, but I couldn’t help but get so attached to the story and Isla’s many different challenges. The plot twist(s) had me at the edge of my chair.

I don’t even know where to begin with my thoughts on Iron Flame. The story quickly picks up where Fourth Wing left off and I’m immediately back & wanting more.
The way this book tugged at all my heart strings and emotions was unbelievable.
Rebecca Yarros did an excellent job with making villains I loved to hate and the plot twists were to DIE for.
I can’t wait for book 3. In the meantime, I’ll sit here with my shattered soul and pray we get back to Navarre as quickly as possible!

*I received an ARC audiobook via NetGalley for an honest review*
I appreciated the story and Filipino tales as I wasn’t previously exposed to them but loved learning about them through this book.
The first 3rd of the book took me on the usual YA arc but then I quickly got into the story. The audio narrator wasn’t my favorite but overall the story made up for that.

3/5🌟
I think the story of Layla (FMC) was fascinating, well written and kept my interest through out the entirety of the story.
It was a bit of a slow build up; but once it picked up; I couldn't put it down. I am excited to see how the story continues.
