Obviously, for the time this was written and the topic of the book there are racial slurs so be aware of that. I don’t like going into books blind when there is sexual violence/rape so I wanted to flag this for others. It is not overly graphic but there is one scene where the main character is in the room where it happens and he can’t do anything to stop it.
