The 'friends to lovers' trope ALWAYSSS does it for me... But not as much this time. This book had no right being this long. It was way too long to not have any conflicts/angst/third act breakup. It had too many unnecessary details and dialogues I would've like to skip over. I did in fact skim over the last 100 pages cause it became boring after a point. It started out strong but it was way too long for my liking.

Didn't care so much for the story!
I can see why people love this story so much and why it would appeal to so many people. I guess if I would've read it earlier, when I had just started reading, I would have liked it more somehow? Dante and Amara were so good together! Their story was so inspiring and so beautiful... I do prefer Tristian and Morana's story a little bit more soo it's going to be 4 β for The Emperor from me!

Loved this book! (Although I did love Yours Truly a little bit more! π€)
Daniel and Alexis were so good for each other! You could see how they were perfect for each other and just made for each other.
Abby Jimenez has become an auto-buy author for me ever since I read Yours Truly... She brings out the best and the worst in characters and you still end up loving them with their flaws! I felt like I was in Wakan with them whenever they were in that town together and I felt very grey just like Alexis did when she was back at her home. Abby's stories do truly come alive and Wakan does have a little bit of magic that transports you directly there, through the story!
Daniel is such a sweetheart!!!!π©π©π©π© Need him stat! π€

This book had no business being this good! No, because tell me why I just sobbed at them confessing their love?
The drama, the banter, I was here for all of it and honestly I didn't think I would love it as much as I did. And just for that it gets this rating. Will this book have a great impact on me or leave a mark in my heart/mind? Probably not. I might even forget a great deal about it in some days. But, I still loved it. It was a fun experience reading it.
If you're going through a slump, this might take you out of it.
Also, why did I kind of fall for Crew?πβ€οΈ
