What Lies Between Us by John Marrs

Not really sure how I feel but I think because of all the thrillers I read this book didn't shock me as much as I expected it to.....and didn't have the level of darkness I normally crave in thrillers. Also the plot felt so unrealistic in some parts which added to it..
 Ive read a few other books by John Marrs and I don't think his books are for me as I've noticed that for me they have felt very underwhelming.🥲

Not really sure how to rate it, because I went in expecting something based off the synopsis and reviews but that's not what I got soo not quite sure how I feel. But for now I'll give this a 3.5
I finished the book in about 4-5 hours so it was gripping enough to hold my attention specially with me being in a reading slump.

I was bored. I've realized that I have to have a certain mood to read Ali Hazelwood's books and this time reading it I was not in that mood. 
All her books have pretty much the same formula.
I should maybe try to reread this when I am in that mood again, my feelings about the book might change then.
