If anyone EVER recommends a book like this to me, I will spit in their food.
I have disliked books before, yes, but this book was almost unbearable. I do not need paragraphs upon paragraphs depicting every little thing the character is doing WITH repetition. I get it. Please. Stop the madness.
If you enjoyed this book, great. Only one question: How.

i liked it for the most part but WHY do some books insist on having sexual assault being a catalyst for a storyline?

Crapalachia: A Biography of a Place by Scott McClanahan
same vibes as “you can take the person out of appalachia but you can’t take appalachia out of the person.”
i genuinely could not put this book down. it’s so surreal reading and knowing exactly what the author is talking about—the exact places you’ve been a thousand times.

I ordered the second book before I was even halfway through with the first. I need more of this universe.
