Ok, this was adorable! What a great YA plot that was well-executed and built for my lakeside reading.

Magical and heart-warming! I mostly enjoyed this read, but Katy's treatment of her husband and attachment to her mother were occasionally a bit frustrating to me. I'm very close with my mother, but I didn't quite connect with Katy's behavior at times as it just seemed a bit too immature for her age. If this is on your list, I still recommend giving it a read!

I love this trope! Every Summer After is a cute, quick read made for poolside reading. I blew through this novel in a day, and it left me wanting more. While predictable and similar to other "childhood friends to lovers", I enjoyed Carley's writing style. She carefully crafted Sam and Percy, and managed to have me rooting for them very early on. I'm looking forward to reading more from Carley!

It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It was what I expected out of a YA read : quick and cute.

Boy, did I struggle with this one. Unlike others, I'm not having a hard time with the premise of the "falsely accused rape", rather I frequently found myself bored and my mind drifting off away from the text as I skimmed each page. The build was slow and I was able to flip to the end and understand what was transpiring, for the most part. Perhaps this one contains too much fluff and lacks pertinent substance. I wanted to like this BOTM selection, but I had a difficult time attempting to convince myself to stick with it. It's a shame this didn't deliver - while many argue falsely accused rape is rare, I still believe it's a story worth exploring. A story shouldn't require 99% occurence in reality to warrant being told... In fact, countless novels explore topics that don't exist in reality, so that's a lousy gripe in negative reviews.

I wanted to love this one - I had high hopes for a blast-from-the-past, nostalgia-packed rom-com, but instead I'm bored out of mind and forcing myself to turn the page. My main issue is the author telling us instead of showing us. I don't want to be ranted at about story after story from the past. Show me the so-called romance between Ezra and Frankie (which I'm convinced doesn't exist, all they do is fight) and make me root for them. I couldn't care less what happened to these characters, and life is too short to read disappointing books. Sorry, this one is not my cup of tea. DNF.

Great BOTM selection - a very comforting read!

Well-written, raw, and heartbreaking. Definitely a must-read!

I laughed (a lot). I cried. Easy 5-star rating! This is a must-read!

This one had me at the edge of my seat! Phenomenal, well-thought out relationships and character development that draws interesting reflections on familial relationships.
