VERY helpful! Great for a reference book, and for people avoiding an MFA or looking to fill in gaps that their MFA isn't addressing. Or just to get as much out of an MFA as they can, too.

I got to the part about "after" the book deal, and it stopped applying to me (obvi, lol)! Very helpful, very useful, and great for motivation or feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of ever publishing. Will probably finish when I finally do get my own book deal. :)

Did not finish book. Stopped at 34%.
A lot of tips that I've seen elsewhere -- might come back to it later, but I think it's best as a coffee-table book or a gift for a new writer! :)

Returned to the library; it's an interesting collection of research, but something I'm more likely to purchase, eventually, and slowly make my way through. I would've liked more commentary from the author, actually!

Too dark for me; it became triggering. It's excellent, beautifully written, and I wish I could finish. Maybe I will later in life.
