I have read Koari Ozaki’s past work and this is no exception of greatness! This story is about grief, belonging, and rediscovery. I really loved how this story was constructed and the flow of it. Nichiko and Chimaki are an unlikely couple that bring out the best in each other. They found their resolve while still giving autonomy to each other. The last several pages of the book had me so scared, but I am happy with how everything turned out. You get to see different people‘s perspectives within the small island town and the roles they play within the story. this was a good and insightful read, and I can’t wait to read it again.

Thank you to NetGalley and Vertical comics for this E-ARC.

“This is a good times thing and a bad times thing. It’s a fun thing and a serious thing. It’s everything. I loved the things you are, Natalie.”

This is a grumpy x sunshine romance between Mr. Not-Equipped-For-Fun Preston and Ms. All-About-The-Fun Natalie. Preston has to complete this task his grandfather set out for his part of will, by creating an all-ages activities program for the Rusk Creek Resort. However, he has a promotion to keep track of when he suddenly has a partner assigned to complete the task. Natalie, who’s hired to be the activities coordinator has been assigned to the job and now they have to come together to make it come into fruition.

The formula for this romance was a bit generic but I loved the elements of found family, saving family legacy, and proving ourselves wrong. Natalie and Preston couldn’t be anymore opposites on the surface, however, are a lot similar that they think. I loved their interactions and especially Natalie because she was herself to the core and didn’t really let anyone tell her otherwise. I think it helped Preston a lot while they were partners on this project. It was also fun discovering what they like to do together and how supportive they are of each other. I do think that if you really liked the Dreamland Billionaire series by Lauren Asher, you will love this book!

Thank you to the Jelsba Media group and NetGalley this E – ARC .

“For you, I will be the villian. A hero would have no chance with you.”

That’s it. That’s the tweet.
