*Mild (but predictable) spoilers for Issue 1* I was about to sing TKO's praises for this latest batch, but ... woof. This one just doesn't work at all, which I guess I should've seen coming from the cringeworthy title. The story is predictable, and the characters are all totally flat. Pretty sure Stacy is mistakenly called Stephanie at one point, and Audrey has no personality or characterization at all outside of loving Stu. Full of other outdated comic book cliches (we're seriously still fridging female characters in 2021? Was that really a "well you're gay" joke? And no one in the police department wants to investigate the violent gang that murdered a bunch of innocents? No one? Seriously? Does the FBI not exist in this world?). Art style is fine, but as someone else said, has that early 2000s way-too-dark, grungy look. Skip this one and read Redfork twice.

Solid, engaging and original read. Starts a little slow but kept me interested until the end and is worth sticking with. Staying away from spoilers, but the ending was a little rushed for me, and I wish it had let Fern be a more active part of it, but a great, original story nonetheless.

Ending was a little odd and rushed, but overall a very cool read. Took a lot of narrative risks and was full of suprises.

I did not expect to be emotionally destroyed by a boy and his scorpion friend, but here we are.

This was a delightful fable. Fun, witty, and poignant, with lovely illustrations throughout. A quick, and perfect read as far as I'm concerned
