This is a powerful play. There is nothing extra in the words, and that stark realism is a pain filled beauty.

If I was researching Holmes this would have been 5 stars easy. But I found myself falling asleep to some of the excruciating detials of dates, names, etc.

A powerful little story: Brilliantly structured, with a powerful message.

Alan Alda has been a personal hero of mine for as long as I can remember. This book read like I was chatting with him over coffee. Essentially it is a great 'beach read' or if you are in need of some fatherly advice. And an added bonus is his full proof system of winning at gambling.

This is another book I read originally in high school, and again, the anguish and passion are just as searing as the first reading.
