Stacy Willingham has a knack for crafting stories that pull you in so deep, you lose track of time. I sat down thinking I’d just read a few chapters, and before I knew it, I had devoured the entire book. This one is packed with murder, missing people, and a diary that holds the key to unsolved crimes dating back to the '80s.

Forget Me Not is a slow-burn thriller that keeps the tension high without ever dragging. Each twist hits hard, and the pacing is just right, enough to keep you on the edge of your seat while letting you savor every juicy detail. Like Claire, I found myself hooked on the diary’s secrets and fully invested in her quest for the truth.

I won’t spoil any of the fun. Trust me, you’ll want to dive in without knowing too much. It’s a wild ride you won’t want to miss!

A big thank you to the publisher for providing a free copy of this book.

If you’re craving a summer romance that hits all the right notes, If All Else Sails is just what you need!

When school nurse Josie ends up at a rundown cottage with her brother’s best friend and sworn enemy, hockey player Wyatt Jacobs, she’s in for a wild ride. Tasked with helping him recover from an injury, Josie discovers their summer is anything but smooth sailing. As they navigate cramped quarters on land and water, she peels back the layers of Wyatt’s grumpy facade, leading to a hilarious journey where love might just bloom amidst the chaos. Will they make it through the summer without either killing or, even better, kissing each other?

I really enjoyed this story! Josie and Wyatt are fantastic characters, and their dynamic is filled with sharp wit and delightful banter. From their awkward reunion to the final moments, I found myself grinning and laughing. The serious themes woven into the plot are handled with grace, adding depth to their relationship without detracting from the fun.

However, while the story shines, the audiobook experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The dual narration by Andi Arndt and Patrick Zellner had its moments, but I felt that some of Zellner’s intensity didn’t quite match with grumpy but secret softie Wyatt’s character. Arndt, as always, delivered a great performance, capturing Josie’s uncertainties beautifully.

Overall, If All Else Sails is a sweet, engaging story that will warm your heart. This sweet romance is absolutely worth reading.

The Angelhart PI team’s biggest client, Logan Monroe, hires them to investigate a hit-and-run and burglary involving his sister Laura, which quickly escalates into a case with deadly stakes.

I really enjoyed this novella. It starts with a literal bang and keeps a fast pace until the end, with all the Angelharts involved. I loved seeing the family work well together. A lot happens in this story as the investigator family tries to figure out why Laura has been targeted.

🎧 Audiobook Thoughts: I was so happy when I saw Hillary Huber was the narrator for this book. Huber’s narration was impressive as always. She definitely enhanced the story by seamlessly performing all voices: male and female of various ages with a wide range of emotions!

I’m looking forward to the next book in this series!

Missing persons expert Frankie Elgin is called to Tucson to investigate the disappearance of Afghan refugee Sabera. The plot thickens when Sabera’s husband vanishes after leaving their young daughter in the care of a neighbor. Then Sabera is caught on camera leaving the scene of a shocking double homicide. Will Frankie find her before it’s too late?

This book is a fast-paced thrill ride with short chapters packed with twists that keep me glued to the pages. The hunt for a missing woman intertwines with deep family secrets and high stakes.

Lisa Jackson shines a light on the immigration challenges faced by Afghan refugees. The portrayal of the refugee resettlement experience is both eye-opening and a poignant addition to this thriller.

The side characters truly steal the show. Daryl, the ex-con driver, adds a mix of muscle and heart; Genni, the flamboyant housekeeper, brings sensible flair; and Aliah, Sabera’s friend, shares immigrant experience insights. This eclectic group injects both depth and entertainment into an otherwise heavy story.

🎧 Audiobook Thoughts: Hillary Huber’s narration is spectacular. She gives each character a distinct voice, making it feel like a full cast performance! I don’t think I’ve ever heard a solo narrator make you feel like you are hearing from multiple narrators. Huber’s delivery for parole officer Roberta was my favorite.

This is my first dive into the Frankie Elkins series, and I’m hooked! I’m looking forward to exploring Frankie’s backstory and relentless pursuit of missing persons.

If you crave tense, emotionally charged thrillers that keep you up late, Kiss Her Goodbye is for you.

A group of high school students head into the woods for a Halloween bash. Fast forward to sunrise, and things take a dark turn. There’s a body found in the woods.

This book is the perfect transition from summer fun to fall chills, making it perfect for now or spooky season!

The story unfolds through the eyes of three characters: Ellie, a partygoer; Rachel, her mom and the high school guidance counselor; and Ben, her dad, who just happens to be the lead detective on the murder case.

From the very first page, I was hooked. The secrets, the lies, and the chilling atmosphere combined with a haunting ghost story/urban legend had me flipping pages like crazy. And let me tell you, the way everything ties together at the end is so clever and totally unexpected.

If you’re on the hunt for a creepy, tension-filled thriller, One Dark Night is your go to read!

Thank you so much to Atria for sending me a free copy of this wonderful thriller.

In this latest installment, we join Annalisa as she navigates the complexities of her personal and professional life. With her private investigation business in a lull and the impending arrival of her baby, she receives an unexpected request from her estranged brother, Alex. He wants her to dig into the case of Joe Green, a fellow inmate and former neighbor, who may have been wrongfully convicted. To add to the intrigue, this case is linked to one of her husband Nick’s old murder investigations. Did Nick miss something crucial?

What I loved most about this book is the dynamic between Annalisa and Nick as they team up once again. Their partnership adds an engaging layer to the investigation, which is rife with secrets and surprising twists. Annalisa’s relentless pursuit of the truth puts her relationship with Nick on shaky ground, but their bond ultimately strengthens as they confront a dangerous serial killer lurking in the shadows.

This story beautifully ties back to the beginning of their journey, showcasing the evolution of Annalisa and Nick’s relationship as they prepare for their new chapter as parents. Additionally, we see intriguing developments in Annalisa’s complicated family dynamics that add depth to the plot.

If you’re a fan of thrilling mysteries filled with suspense and compelling characters, you’ll enjoy Gone in the Night which can be read as a standalone. I can’t wait to see where Annalisa’s journey takes her next!
