The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
5.0
I LOVED it.
The characters are amazingly relatable and loveable, human or otherwise. The writing is delightful, with a few exceptions ("swallowed thickly" or "arched an eyebrow", e.g., starred far more than necessary).
And then there's the plot, which revolves around difference. All sorts of difference. Of course I mostly related as an ADHDer.
I found it a very easy ADHD read, both in terms of the writing and thanks to the rather short chapters, but mostly, of course, the book's being so loveable and feel-goodish. I certainly miss the characters badly!
