The way Weir interweaves philosophy with storytelling is so interesting here, particularly as he manages to make a text that is almost all dialogue engaging until the end. As someone who struggles with coming to terms with my own mortality, this feels like a genuinely sweet afterlife, and feels very comforting. Whilst I believe this concept was stolen from Hinduism (although I'm not sure - correct me if I'm wrong), it's still an interesting and engaging short story. Definitely worth a read!

Feminism Unfinished: A Short, Surprising History of American Women's Movements by Astrid Henry, Dorothy Sue Cobble, Linda Gordon

Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
I just couldn't get into it. The subject matter was interesting enough, but I found the writing to be quite dry and I just didn't find it interesting, which was accentuated by the fact I was reading on my laptop (which always makes it much more boring). I might revisit it later, but for now I'll move on to other books.

This is a really useful simplification of Marx's Capital, but it is still confusing and hard to follow at times - you will need to annotate it!
