While I am enjoying this series, I'm finding it a bit annoying as well. The whole premise of this book is that this group of brothers are in a cult and wish to leave. They are forced into arranged marriages with women they have never met who are also a part of this misogynistic cult group.

Once they are married, these women who have never been alone with a man besides their fathers or brothers, are sent to live with their new husbands and expected to be the perfect subservient wives. The brothers each have an affinity for kink. They somehow bring out these women's inner freak flags and the women don't seem to mind too much. That is what I wish was different. There is no real push back at all. So far these women have just basically gone with the flow and are the perfect fit for each of the brothers. I know it helps the plot move along and I do enjoy the spicy scenes but I just wish there was a little more resistance.

Other than that it's an interesting premise and I'm enjoying it overall. Spicy scenes are pretty decent and I love how the brothers are teaching these women about consent and kink and making them also feel safe to be themselves.

I like the premise of the story and overall I enjoyed it. The reason I didn't rate it any higher is because it felt a little clunky, drawn out and/or repetitive at times.

I did enjoy the relationship between Levi & Ruth. I also look forward to learning more about each brother and seeing how the whole story and everyone winds up.

My hope is that as the story and books progress they get more polished and refined.

Overall a decent start to an intriguing series.

I thought this book was going to go a different route. Once I got into it and realized it wasn't going that way I struggled to pay attention.

The total disregard these people had for their safety while traveling abroad was astounding and baffling.

I hated every character for so many different reasons.

It is an easy read and would probably be a nice beach read for someone who is looking for something easy and a bit mysterious to take up time in the sun.

This is my first Ali Hazelwood book and I gotta say I'm not a fan.

This book was so hyped up...for no reason. I kept hearing how spicy it was etc.

Ummm the "spice" doesn't happen until almost 300 pages and the first spice scene was the equivalent of getting tipsy and grinding on someone. They only get seriously busy like 2 (maybe 3) times and it wasn't that great .

This book was too much of a slow-burn for me. It easily could have been cut by a 100 pages or so and still been an ok read.

It had potential...it really did. Misery just fell flat for me as a character and it was like she was an afterthought of the authors. Just having her POV was a bit dull...the only time you get anyone else's thoughts is the sentence that begins every chapter in Lowe's thoughts.

I probably won't be picking up another book by her. I'm glad I borrowed it from the library.

It was almost a 5 star read for me.

The only reason that I rated it lower than 5 stars was the story almost lost me towards the middle when the craziness slowed a little. I get it was necessary to build the characters but I started to get a smidge frustrated.

It was a fantastic read though. I giggled, squealed, sighed and even teared up a little (when reading the bonus chapter).

I put off reading this for so long because it was so hyped up on TikTok but I'm glad to report it is worth the hype.

I found this book on TikTok. It was recommended as one of that person's 5 star reads, she has some great recommendations so I figured if she loved it that much so would I.

Wellllll, it wasn't a 5 star for me but it was definitely a solid 3 stars. The ending is one in books that kinda annoy me (I don't want to say too much and give up any details). The twist for me wasn't much of a twist bc I was thinking it was going that way but then the ending comes into play and you're not sure.

I didn't dislike it, I was just hoping for more.

I'm pretty sure I liked this. I say "pretty sure" because the way it's written is a bit odd. It's like the inner ramblings of a very odd person.

When you first start the book there are a lot of references to stuff that don't really have an explanation and as the story goes on you realize what the main character is actually talking about.

Though this story was not my typical read at all, I enjoyed it and think it will be enjoyed by the right person!

I found this novella through a stuff your kindle day event. I had never read anything by the author but figured why not?

It's a very short novella and I just noticed it's #3.5 in the series. You don't get much about the world you're reading about but if you just go into accepting everything for what it is, it's easy enough to follow along.

It's an easy read but felt a little rushed. If you're looking for something to read quickly or to help with your reading goals try this.

Another Monster Smut Romance? I know, I know.

These are never works of art but I enjoy them just for the sheer absurdity.

If you like weird, monster smut and want to beef up (no pun intended) your reading goals this is perfect. The author has quite a few of these books...check them out if you just need a quick, easy, smutty read.

This book was so full of emotion.

It's like a hug from a loved one on one of your crappiest days.

I adored Clementine and her struggle with grief and finding herself.

This author is great at writing banter and couples that you just can't help but root for. Even though the circumstances are unbelievable and never going to happen in real life you just can't help but be absorbed in the story.

I laughed, cried, gasped....I couldn't put this down.

This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
