I enjoyed this modern romance something I haven’t seen done from this author. It had the perfect mix of hallmark vibes, chemistry and banter. I was thankful there was only one steamy scene and it was after 50%. This was so fun to read (even in August).

It was so fun to start a new series by Wanda Brunstetter. Also if you are a pumpkin person there is a recipe at the end for you, I am not one of those people. I often rolled my eyes at the siblings in this one but I am excited to see how they grow throughout the series.

This one was mostly about Anne’s kids and honestly didn’t interest me much. The last 30 minutes was about Anne and Gilbert’s relationship and I relate and adored that section so much.

What a journey this series has taken us on on. The series name was redemption and you could see that theme over and over again throughout this book. I cried through the whole thing but I just love all the lessons of faith throughout all of these books, life is hard but God is so good. I have been listening to the authors podcast and I could really see her life sprinkled throughout this one.

This story was hard to get into and if my net galley percentage was better I would probably DNF’d it. There were too many characters and the story felt choppy. That being said I am glad I finished and learned who was behind it all.

I am still torn on my rating. I really liked being back in the world, but the middle lagged for me. I loved the beginning and the ending probably because that’s where the twins are. The good news though is that the ending feels like more are coming!

Like most Shakespeare plays I have read, there is a lot of death in the last act. I am so thankful for No Fear Books they make it so much easier. The beginning is great, and the ending was crazy but it dragged on too much in the middle.

This is what I get when I see an Octopus in title and on the cover and think it’s going to actually include one. I tend to go in blind and be amazed, so this one didn’t live up to those hopes. So far in my buddy read it feels like people are struggling with it so I am glad I am not the only one who didn’t love this, usually MG are my jam and this may be my lowest middle grade rating.
