The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I feel that if I had read this book when I was younger, it would have been a lot more impactful. Instead, the allegorical journey just seemed to be constantly bashing me over the head with repetitive lessons that I feel I have already been exposed to. The lessons taught are not bad, but in this new age wave I had heard many of them before so the revolutionary effect was lost on me. Still, it was a cute story, and I feel it would be a great bedtime story for my future children or a read to pass on to them when they are in middle school/high school.
