I wouldn't call this a poetry book, I'd say it's a lyrical anthology, and one of the best ones I've ever read. Wendy Cope really makes poetry seem easy and like it can be more than melodrama without the birds and the trees. Her pieces flow and make you laugh and have the best endings

Is it addictive? Yes. Will it change your life? No. Is it exceptional? Also no. But if you enjoy scrolling through booktok or bookstagram, you’ll enjoy this (just like I did)

Skip the books and go straight to the show. The books have aged like sour milk
