Such a mid book, but we all read it anyway so props to Yarros I guess.

Chills—heartbreaking—deep respect—hope. Shoutout to the tenants unions in LA (and many other places!!) for prefiguring the kinds of communities we want to live in and be members of. Convivir <3

Roy’s prose is pretty astounding. I listened to the audiobook and got a little lost during the time jumps but found such true-ness in the depictions of grief, longing and harshness.

I'm Sorry for My Loss: Undoing Our Cultural Ignorance Around Pregnancies That End Without a Baby by Colleen Long, Rebecca Little

Informative particularly for people, like me, who are less informed about the history of obstetrics, pre-natal care and the myriad of outcomes that exist within a pregnancy. This books feels extra poignant as abortion access in the US continues to be restricted. Very focused on the US context, would not recommend for an overview of or cross-cultural perspective on pregnancy loss.
