Did not finish book. Stopped at 16%.
Couldn’t keep the two main characters straight, main plot is missionary work to Indians, murder and abuse scene was the final straw. Really loved her other books but couldn’t get into this one at all.

Definitely judged this book by its cover and avoided it. Glad I finally picked it up, after so many people urging me to read it, because then I couldn’t put it down. An incredible story, powerful and funny and important. One of my best reads this year.
