I really liked the chronological order of this book. There was a lot of creativity in the curses, although some of them were repetitive. I also enjoyed the descriptions which added context and background into why this or that was relevant at that time. A curious reading that will be perfect for those who like history and books as reading subjects.

I recently finished a book that I fell in love with from the first chapter. The Forest Grimm, by Kathryn Purdie, is one of those reads that becomes increasingly addictive as you go along until it becomes impossible to put down. I had to force myself to close the book because it turns out college is important.

As always, the script got me into it, and I found a story that only got better with time. Yuu seems like a cliché at first, but then you spend more time with him, his past, and his baggage, until you find out what made him the way he is. I won't spoil anything, just say there's a great exploration of trauma and healing.

Another lovely story that helps understand the challenges of trans kids. It's easy to follow, with a basic story, and shows the importance of representation.

As I said in the previous book of this series, it's a beautiful story about identity and likes. Perfect for starting conversations, it doesn't seek to lead the reader to any idea other than accepting themselves as they are and each person for who they are, no matter what.

This book caught my attention when I read that it was wordless. When I find something like I am immediately interested because it presents a new language challenge. The art is front and center here, and this is not the exception. It is a ridiculously easy read that makes you laugh with an absurd, yet sometimes dark sense of humor.

Did you appreciate it? Perfect. Now take a minute to admire the characters' expressions, and how they reflect each other's inner world regardless of what's going on outside.

This volume picks up right where the last one left off, just as I expected coming from a webcomic, which I love. We see the characters mature a lot more this time around and how some of them are more complex than we thought. Obviously Kappa and Siren are my favorites, but Queen Susca and Skiff earn our love as well.

I was a little afraid of this book because of all the political themes. There are concepts that I have a lot of problems with, and those who know me know exactly why. Still, I admire Andrew Joseph White too much to say no to a story from his hand, and I don't regret it at all. It's a heavy novel, yes, and at the beginning it feels a little slow, but it becomes addictive after the first half.
