Through almost the whole book I was thinking 3,5 stars but now i'm going to give it 4,5 stars.
The setting is very intressant in that it's based on the Roman empire.
The magic system I still seem to have a hard time proper grasping but the basics I understand.

The end really made a lot of stuff click but I still have a ton of questions.

I'm going to post a full review on my TikTok soon sl be on the lookout :)

Wow, just wow. This book had everything I could wish for in a book!
Such a incredible book and Nesta now shares a special spot in my mind besides Vin.

This is the second book I have ever wanted to give 6 stars to and it is well deserved!

A court of Silver flames and Mistborn: The final Empire will forever hold a special place for me.

6/5 stars!!!

This book is fucked up.
Yes the ending was one hell of a plot twist but I don't know what I think of it.

At least this book made me understand trigger warnings..

I liked the sunlit man. it's not incredible but it's good.
it's fun to see
Sigzil
get his own book and I did enjoy really learning much more about the cosmere at large.

I do feel that this book kind of foreshadows what's to come in a way. It is set in the future after all.

I STRUGGLED through this book!
Up until this one I blasted through the stormlight archive but this book just felt so incredibly slow. Perhaps a part of the problem was other books on my shelf I wanted to read as well but who knows.

Yes, this book is dark, it's grim and all of the above. But this is the first book that genuinly explores the psychological aspects of these characters. We see Shallan, Kaladin and Teft truly struggle with their demons and I feel that Brandon portrayed this really well!

At first I contemplated If this book should even get 4 stars but those last 200 pages truly changed everything. Everything Brandon has spent 1200 pages building up aligned in those last 200. Fantastic writing but you almost lost me during the journey.

Very short but enjoyable!
I feel like it opens up for at lot more for the Cosmere at large but the novella itself does not have much going for it.
More of a horror-like setting than the rest of the Cosmere IMO
