I love Richelle Mead's writing and this book was really good, but it wasn't anything particularly special in my opinion. I enjoyed it and it was good as a standalone. I loved how it tied in to Chinese myths and didn't have a white main character. However since it was a standalone I didn't really get a feel for how the characters were. Overall though I'm glad I read it! :)
Should be 1.5, but I went with 1. Just could not get into it, I only finished it because I have to finish books. It was just so dull in my opinion, and nothing happened. Don't know if I'll read the last book or not.
