I loved Madelyn and Thomas together! Both of them are lonely and want more out of life but they have not found the one yet.
When she gets a job to work on the estate he has inherited. Their connection off back is drawing.
The description of the mansion easily transformed me as if I was there walking through it myself.
Thomas is very rich and handsome but full of mystery and more. We watch how these two characters grow and bring life back to each other’s lives.
Thank you Netgalley for the EARC! As always, my review is my opinion and thoughts. This review will be shared on my Instagram (@Alexandriavwilliams_) shortly.

“All I wanted was for him to love me.”
Katie feeling trapped in her unhappy relationship with Tommy tries to find pieces of happiness any chance she can get.
Tommy is a rockstar and while he believes he can have any woman he wants. He chooses to be with Katie while physically and verbally abusing her.
“She chose him. She wanted him.”
Mac wants the old Katie back. Who laughs, has a great sense of humor, and a sunshine all around. He’s loved her for 2 years now in the shadows.
“Do you want to play a game?” This part!!

What an emotional, heartbreaking ride! Anyone who reads this can relate to Parker’s and Jackson’s history one way or another.
To the world, Parker is a 10. She has an amazing job as a doctor, a stable and loving family, great sisters, supportive best friends, and she’s beautiful. Yet she’s single, unhappy, and wants more out of life.
Jackson has never had it easy. His family moving to a new place while his mom is sick and him battling with mental health. There were times I just wanted to yell at Jackson to get it together!!
Tropes, Topics & Themes:
✨Mental health
✨Cancer
✨Second chance
✨Dual POV
✨Friends to lovers
✨Toxic relationship
“We’ll forever be a part of each other’s lives and I’ll never forget the moment we met, to say he became my best friend and the only person I would ever give my heart to.”
Broken people break other people. As we are taken on the journey of their love story. We see how toxic it was over the years and the way they hurt others from friends, family, relationships, and more.
There is so much I want to share about this book! But I can’t give it all away, you will have to read for yourself! Let me just know that David was much needed in her life. Their friend group made a lot of difference and the support is amazing. Allie is the worst! The letter Jackson’s mom wrote had me balling in tears!!!
“The good in my life has always been you.”

Summer hates Christmas and doesn’t understand why people go through all the trouble with decorations, singing, and stocking up on holiday foods and drinks. Instead, she would rather be relaxing in the sun, on the beach with a refreshing cocktail.

“They say you never forget your first love or your first kiss. But no one ever tells you that you never forget the first time a boy tells you that he hates you.”
Campbell’s family has a tradition that before a birth certificate is even signed when a near member arrives in the family. They are arranged to be married off to someone. She was only born for four hours before the arrangement was sealed.
Over the years from a very young age. Campbell and Slade exchange letters that you wouldn’t necessarily call lover letters.
Fast forward to Campbell being a college-educated woman at 24. She’s lived in Europe, speaks 3 languages, and is an only child.
“He needs me more than I need him.”
Slade is 25, stubborn as they come but has gone through a lot growing up. He’s always kept those feelings deep inside with his secrets as well. His goal has always been the family business.
I loved that we were able to see glimpses of the letters exchanged between the two. When everything seems to be working out the way it should. Even with all the stipulations between the contract, loss, and horrible wedding. There was a twist thrown at us that I did not see coming!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I was entertained. It was a fun, quick, enemies-to-lovers book. Can’t wait to read the next book of the series!

“Every dark shadow must have its light.”
The world-building took me a little bit of time to get through at the beginning with the back and forth between different time zones but once I got through that. I could not put the book down!
