Another fun time. I’ll definitely continue the series. I’d highly recommend the audiobook, the narrator is amazing.

I enjoy this authors’ writing style, and how she created the setting/atmosphere. To me, the pace of the book was a bit too fast.

I actually wouldn’t classify this as horror, I’d say it’s more historical/literary fiction with a little horror mixed in. There’s commentary on gender, race, class, etc. woven very well in the story.

I’ll definitely continue to read more from this author.

I enjoyed the mixed media format. I’d recommend listening to the audio along with the physical/ebook since it has a full cast of narrators.

Some parts of the plot seemed a bit… preposterous in my opinion, and I had to suspend my disbelief for a few things.

Overall the book was decent.

Very entertaining. I laughed out loud multiple times.

The best way I can explain this book is imagine Kronk, from The Emperors New Groove (with a bit more street smarts) was placed into a D&D campaign.

The humor is similar to Seth McFarlane’s  humor - Family Guy/American Dad.

I loved this! The first 30% of the book felt a bit overwhelming with how many characters/pov’s were introduced, but I got into the swing of it soon after. The author does a great job with the setting and atmosphere.

I’m not sure if this is marketed as more of a thriller or mystery, but to me, it definitely feels more like a mystery, which I love.

Such a great book. The author did an excellent job in not only educating the reader, but entertaining them too.

I enjoy Greek mythology, and this was so refreshing to focus on the women from the myths/stories.

It was fine, but nothing special. I thought I’d enjoy it more. The pacing needs work, and everything fell flat, including the characters.

If this isn’t already considered a modern classic, it should be.
