This was such a cute LGBTQ+ romance novel! I believe it was my first one, to be quite honest. I’m looking forward to branching out and finding more!

I think the way the two main characters crossed each other’s paths was very creative and I enjoyed knowing the different levels of the relationship.

The point of view switched quite frequently and became confusing when the two leads were together.

In agreement with other reviews, the spicy parts could’ve used more.

“Who do you save in the moment, when you have the chance? The answer was simple, and obvious, and always, always the same: whoever you can.”

This novel is set in two different times - a Then and a Now. And majority of the narration comes from Cassidy Bent, one of the survivors. The chapters set in the past are told in the eyes of the other survivors, those still alive, that is.

The novel is filled with tension, unspoken truths, fear, and survivor’s guilt. The yearly gathering of the survivors was never a positive event, and this week wasn’t any different except for some texts from an unknown number and a phone washing up on the beach.

It was such a great read and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time - eager to uncover the events that occurred the night of the accident. The author did a great job of tying the story together and connecting the dots. I highly recommend this one!

What a sweet romance that showcases the very real struggles of mental illness!

I loved the frenemies to lovers, best friend’s little sister, and fake dating tropes! I also loved the inclusion of LGBTQ+ relationships. AND I’m a sucker for a dual POV romance novel because I adore seeing both sides.

I was not prepared for the spice that existed in these pages, but I loved it! Was not expecting the praise kink to be there either, but I was disappointed!!

(I’ve said love a lot, but it’s fitting for romance, right?)

If you’re wondering if you’ll cry less because you know how it ends, you won’t. You will actually probably cry more. So get your tissues.

I didn’t know I needed Dom’s point of view until I had it. To dive into his mind that we all so desperately craved in The Ravenhood series was an amazing experience. I adored seeing how he processed falling in love and the fight he put up against it.

If you haven’t read Ravenhood, do it. Do it now. And then pick up this one, ASAP.

Dark Corners kept me on my toes and will keep you connecting the dots until the end! Rachel Krall is such a badass female lead and we need more of her!

I will say that I did not get the chance to read the first introduction to Ms. Krall, but I didn’t need it since Megan Goldin does such a great job giving us details on the characters. (But I’m definitely going to back track and read The Night Swim, okay?)

I devoured this novel from beginning to end. I loved how it jumped right in to Rachel being called to essentially help the FBI with very little information. I felt like I was watching an episode of The First 48 and the clock was ticking down towards Terence Bailey’s release from prison and Maddison Logan’s chances of being found alive.

Dark Corners had me intrigued from start to finish & if you enjoy thrillers/mysteries, then it will likely hold you captive as well!
