Absolutely fantastic second novel. While Piranesi is much shorter than Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, it’s just as wonderful. The same magic, but different, in a smaller package. It’s strange and otherworldly, loving and innocent. Just fantastic. Anything Susanna Clarke writes gets a day one pre-order from me.
