The book and story are exiting and compelling, everytime I put the book down I would be restless wondering what was going to happen next.
My only problem, and this is a personal thing, is that the slow pacing sometimes made me feel like I was dragging through it, I guess I like medium paced book where a little more happens between chapters.
If you've seen the movies and are wondering if it's worth it to read the books, it 100% is, there are many differences that affect character journeys, the drive of the story, and whole plots that were skipped over because of time constrains. This is a must read for sure.

It was an amazing and clean continuation to the original Handmaid's Tale, I'll say that some of the plot twists are somewhat predictable but in my opinion, it doesn't take from the story.
I love it how both of the books and the tv show add to each other to be able to show us the grander picture, in the first book we knew next to nothing about the world of Gilead because the protagonist didn't either but this time around that is not the case because of the different perspectives we get to read about.
It's a really good read and you should consider reading the saga.

I grabbed it by quickly browsing through the bookshelves on Barnes&Noble and the cover caught my eye to the point that I couldn't ignore it and HAD to read it.
The book did not disappoint, I loved every part of it, the flashback wat of telling the story, how well-paced it was written, the well-written characters... I could go on.
This is the story of the siblings Dany and Maeve growing up from childhood all the way up to their elderly age, how their lives changed and revolved around the titled "dutch house".
I truly believed that I was watching people grow up and that I was there while it happened, if anything read this book for the amazing writing.

This is my favorite book.
I originally read it as a school assignment but as soon as I started it I completely ate it up in three days or so, any free moment that I had I was reading it, it was simply impossible to put down. Even months after I finished it I found myself thinking about it and the complexities of all the characters and story.
I'll admit that it might not be a book for anyone but I think that I'm doing a disservice to it by just saying that it is genius. Grenouille is an incredibly complicated character that leaves you with a lot to think about, do yourself a favor and read this book.
