A really interesting entry into the Hunger Games world. It is so intriguing to be brought back in time within such an intricately designed world, exploring the real development of the Hunger Games and the Capitol. I loved the Coriolanus Snow POV, you really get to see the development of his character. Without spoiling anything, he undergoes a real path of development and maturity - the book ending in such a twist / unexpected way. A must read for fans of the series.

This book contains truly fleshed out characters and is a journey of same-sex love from its inception to its tragic conclusion.

Prefaced as a story about a legendary party, the celebrity life in Malibu, heat, alcohol and excessive fun - this book is actually a reflection on the bonds that tie us together. Exploring the meaning of family itself, childhood, parenthood and all the inbetweens, this book is insightful, inspiring and equally heart wrenching. A must read.
