I liked this one better than book 2, it had a little more substance with the smut. It's a fun audiobook to listen while doing chores.

I listened to this via audiobook and while I got super lost along the way I am rating this 5 stars and will be adding it to my physical books to reread.

This is a multiple timeline (sort of) multi character (like a lot of them) POV.

I don't even know how to describe it because so much goes on but it starts with one character using root work and conjuring to free enslaved people and start a town to keep them safe, only her idea of safe and how she goes about it starts to backfire and there are many threads woven throughout.

Each character gets a little bit of the story and they overlap and jump through time and it's a lot but I loved it, and def need to read again.

Loved this but will definitely need a reread, so much happening I got lost a little in the audiobook but still loved the world and the folklore.

Okay this was super cute!
I got a little confused on who we were talking about because there are so many characters and several points of view. The narrator only had a couple different tones/voices she used so that didn't help.

It was a fun little mystery that part of you could pretty easily solve on your own but the others not so much. I'd call it a cozy quirky thing.

This should be a mandatory read for everyone. It was such a good reminder on what can constitute a micro aggression, and just does such an excellent job breaking down all of the terminology surrouning transgender individuals and meets head on all the difficult questions and assumptions and anti trans rhetoric/myths.

Listened via audiobook and it did not disappoint!

I loved the narrators tone throughout which really helped to portray June's flippant attitude.

I hate that part of me rooted for her, all the whole seeing her horrible decisions and lack of accountability.

Such an interesting way to write about racism, and publishing.

4.5!
