I really enjoyed the start of this trilogy! Magical and gender politics unite, mystery, demons and backstabbing! 

Fantastic trans rep and character conversation surrounding it and dealing with terfs. 

The ENDING!!

I listened to this via audiobook and really enjoyed it. 

I loved the dark atmosphere, the magic system, the romance, and the ending!

This is unlike anything I've ever read before. We've got a shape shifting monster who falls in love with a human, and wants to both eat her and save her. Both characters are ace coded and it's sapphic. 

But it's also a horror, and there's some weirdly gross things and some twists. Not usually my cup of tea but I enjoyed it!

Absolutely loved this rom com! 
The spice was excellent as Ali's usually is. I laughed and cried and just loved all the animals and even the messaging. 

Can't wait to dive into book 2!

This one dragged a little bit for me.  It felt like a lot of talking about not much? 

I don't know if it was because I didn't quite remember the ending of book 2 and so I took a bit to get reacquainted with everything, but it was kind of slow going.

I sort of liked the twist, but I also really hate it? Did not see it coming AT ALL. 

And I 100% have no idea what the big reveal means toward the end haha!
