This book is VERY similar to its first. It was a nice read but some parts were just lacking for me or I wished were done a little differently. Overall if you like rom-com you’ll like this.

Don’t read the bonus epilogue until you’ve finished the series. In my opinion, both bonuses (first book and this one) spoil the book in a way. I obviously know happy endings are in store but the journey is my favorite and had I skipped the bonus epilogue in the first some parts of the story would’ve got me more excited about even side character lives.

I was scared going into this book because I’ve seen such mixed reviews but I really enjoyed it! There was always something new to be revealed and a great climax I wasn’t expecting. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars for me was phase 3 of the romance plot and the second epilogue.

The bonus epilogue is a spoiler for the rest so I recommend skipping it until you’ve finished.

A very slow start, but power through! The character growth is worth it I promise. I started this book absolutely irked. I hated Nesta and I hated the idea of the format changing (third person limited omniscient) however once I got into it I enjoyed the change and the characters! It’s just as thrilling and inspired and it’s predecessors.

It was nice to see what happened to Molly after she escaped. There was one thing specifically I was hoping was in there and it was. A great addition to the twisty universe.

There is an extended epilogue after the acknowledgements. I almost missed it!

This was a ‘reread’ for me. I’m not someone who is generally a fan of audio books, but this was done well and I couldn’t stop listening! It made me fall in love with this story again.

It’s a cute little breather in the series. My only issue with it was switching from first person to third person. I enjoyed the other POVs but didn’t like that only Feyre and Rhys had first person. It was disorienting at first and made it difficult to get into.

This one is probably my favorite of the series. I read this too fast and knowing what I know now I would’ve taken my time. This one had me laughing, crying, and so stunned I had to put the book down to pace my room and consider my existence.

I had initially had this at 4.75, but truly it’s a 5 star. The plot and character development had me on the edge of my seat and unable to put the book down. This one, in my opinion, is slower than the first. The slow burn romance was killing me.

My only pet peeve about this book had nothing to do with plot or characters. It was with the writing. The phrase “I could’ve sworn I *insert one of the five senses*.” I’m just picky with some things. I still enjoyed the story because it’s perfect.

Medium paced. A beauty and the beast (kinda) retelling. FMC is a strong character and consistently shows growth. The ending is the best part for me. The characters are all dynamic and had me hooked.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 64%.
I’m currently deciding to DNF this book. The plot has so so much potential but the time jumps and pace just aren’t doing it for me.
