Honestly, I was not expecting to love and devour this as heavily as I did.

I do not like, nor handle poetry well, especially classic poetry, but between Emily Wilson's stunning translation and honestly time, I had such a great time reading this.

As someone who read this mainly for Epic (as I know, many have) seeing this story be told in its original form, seeing the different perspectives we have seen, and just the fact that this story isn't very chronological was such a nice surprise and made the experience all the more engaging.

I adore Greek myth, and I am so glad that I finally bit the bullet and have started reading these stories at their roots (or as close to their roots as we have recovered).
