I don’t cry at romance books. I don’t. I squeal and kick my heart, and maybe sometimes there’s a hand-over-mouth moment, but crying?
Not until this book. Happy tears. I think it’s safe to say that I connected with Wren and Ellis; second-chance romance is deeply personal to me and Tarah DeWitt just perfectly captured the emotion of it.
I picked up this book as an escape from heavier themes — and it is! It’s sweet and funny and sexy, but the emotions are the part I didn’t expect. The longing, the hope, the pain — all done so well.
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press for the ARC. Admitting that a book made me teary is a thing I did all on my own.

I’m in my Hellbringer era. (As evidenced by the fact that I read this book in a single day. My husband may have regrets; I do not.)
Fully obsessed from the first scene: you drop RIGHT into the action and get a real sense of who Revna is.
I had to stop myself from making reaction noises because I read most of this book at a quiet book club.
There are scenes that I have already screamed at friends about — ahem, the forge — and lines that I think my brain has already highlighted permanently.
Loved it. Can’t wait for the sequel

PLEASE. This book gave me EVERYTHING I wanted from the end of a trilogy: high stakes (so much so that a third of the way through, the scene had enough drama to feel like a final showdown), all the emotional impact and—of course—one of the things we all love about Dacre and Verena: their incredible chemistry.
The action! The feelings! The plot points I won’t mention because of spoilers!
Holly Renee did the thing with this book. I ate it up, much like—wait, no, this review is PG.
🌶️ + feels + plot. YES YES YES.

I’d be shocked if Lachlan and Lark aren’t my favorite pairing in this trilogy. I’m going to look at all my crafty friends with newly suspicious eyes now. “Feckin’ catastrophe” forever.
The audiobook experience on this one is SO GOOD. Kudos to both narrators.

I recommended Bound by Gravity to everyone who was looking to have their heart broken; now I can recommend Freed from Gravity as the cure to that heartbreak.
What an emotional RIDE this book was. I loved every page of it. Senan and Allette had to fight for happiness, and this is such a fitting end for the duology. Easily five stars for me.

This book sucked me right in for all 123 chapters (no, that is not a typo) and had the audacity to hurt my feelings? And make me like it?
Rude.
I’m a sucker for dark academia, and this book gave me what I wanted. I might need to explore some of those things with my therapist, but … did someone say hot stalker? 👀
Buckle in and get ready to be obsessed.
Thank you (and HOW DARE YOU) to Rose & Star for the ARC.
