WOW. This book had be tearing up on almost every page. What a beautiful and heart-wrenching depiction of grief and guilt. This was gorgeous.

A very fun second book in this series. I’m fully in on Veronica and Stoker! And some very good writing throughout as well.

This is hard to review, because while I see the craft behind this book I can’t say I enjoyed it very much. It feels very literary and I know why people like it’d but my own personal enjoyment wasn’t very high. I can feel Dickens’s influence on this and appreciate that, but I don’t know if I’ll come back to this story again.

Very cute YA rom-com. It had a great balance of personal things and the romance. The romance itself was adorable and very relatable for a first love. I really enjoyed Charlie and her journey.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the magic that Emily Henry is able to create, but I’m thankful for it every time. Daphne was, to me, her most relatable protagonist yet. It had all the EmHen classics: banter, beautiful friendships, fun characters, and of course gorgeous writing. She hasn’t steered me wrong yet!

I actually really enjoyed this. It felt personal and raw, and I already enjoyed Hannah from her season of the Bachelorette. I was able to relate to her a lot more than I thought I would, and overall found her story illuminating and enjoyable. It definitely had some cheesey moments, but at the end I still found her memoir really pleasant to read.

I really wanted to like this, but I had more issues than enjoyment. Liza’s job as a DJ never worked for me, and Dorsey somehow not understanding gentrification made zero sense. It was missing the magic of P&P and other retellings.

This book was incredible. It was so heavy, but so emotional and honest. The friendship between these girls was remarkable, and the rightous anger infusing the pages was moving and awe-inspiring. The mixed media elements were great, as well. I don't know if it was a technically perfect novel, but my love for these girls and this story gives it 5 stars.

Enough twists and reveals that it kept me interested! I was ultimately satisfied with the ending, even though it was a bit simple at times.
