This was such a feel-good book! I fell in love with the characters and Alex is probably my biggest book crush! I loved the premise but I do wish there would have been less time spent on the flashbacks (but that's probably me just wanting to rush to the good stuff lol). Also, this is one of the first books to make me laugh out loud! The humor was unmatched and the timing was perfect! Overall, it was a perfect little rom-com and I look forward to reading more from Emily Henry in the future!

Super sweet read with a hilarious cast of characters. I loved the quirkiness of this book, but the vulnerable moments that popped up are what really made it for me. I loved seeing the banter of Luc and Oliver slowly transform into understanding and comfort. To be honest, a bit of a slow start but once you got about a quarter of the way in things really started to pick up!

I genuinely loved this book! It was a good balance between angst and fluff. I laughed out loud at multiple parts and can definitely see myself reading it again in the future. Such a cute concept that was executed very well. I will say you have to have somewhat of an understanding of American politics to fully understand some things in the story. Overall, 5/5!

This book started out way stronger than A Touch of Darkness. It started to drag a bit in the middle, but I enjoyed the amount of world-building that went into this book, I feel like I got to know the characters a lot better. If there is one thing that makes this book better than A Touch of Darkness it's Hermes and Hecate, by far my favorite characters. They made me laugh out loud multiple times and I enjoyed seeing their characters be used to their full potential. I did find the book somewhat hard to follow at times, but that may be because I read it before A Touch of Ruin. Also, way more sex in this book (just something to note).

This book is so out of my wheelhouse but I decided to try it out. I have no idea what it was about this book that I found so interesting, but I read the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, there were some super cringey tropes and a few lines that made me shudder, but I think I was expecting that so I could handle it. It was very fast-paced and super easy to read and comprehend. I will probably read the rest of the series but I will likely never tell anyone.

Yet another fake dating plot that left me underwhelmed. I wanted to love this book so much but I just couldn't get past the characterization of Georgie and Travis. I will say, I think my not liking this book has more to do with my dislike for cliche romance books and less to do with the author's ability to write a novel, nevertheless. To begin, Georgie's biggest personality trait is being inexperienced with men, closely followed by her quirky demeanor that makes her soooo unlike other girls. I also had a hard time getting through Travis's pov because it was interlaced with such misogyny. Georgie was seen as her brother's property until suddenly she was Travis's. With a book that focuses so much on women trying to make their own identity, they sure limit them to their relationships with men. On the flip side, the book had a few funny moments and was well written. I think I just need to steer clear of romance novels like this in the future.

I loved this book to begin with, but towards the end, my enthusiasm started to wane. One thing I can say is that I loved the format this book was written in and it made it much easier to read. However, this is another one of those books where the side characters are really what hooked me (Warren had me laughing out loud until the end). I was much more interested (and invested) in Karen and Graham's relationship. Billy and Daisy frustrated me and I really just felt bad for Camilla by the end of it. I expected it to end with a bang, but it was much more subdued, but maybe that's a much more realistic ending for these characters.

This book was about 100 pages too long. If the body fat percentage of each character wasn't 50% of this book I might have had an easier time reading it. I understand this book takes place at a health resort, but there comes a point where I know which characters are fat and which aren't. This book was also very slow-paced until about halfway through. I don't necessarily regret reading it, but I think I'm much more of a Frances, sappy romance is more my jam.
