There's Always Someday tells the story of Clea, who we've briefly met in both Leave Him Loved and Something Like Hate. Prior to the cover reveal and excerpt reveal, I didn't really know what to think about this upcoming release. But, once I saw the cover, I was hooked. (I mean... hello? Can you blame me?) And while the cover grabbed my attention, I knew I would love this story by a quote that was in the excerpt reveal. (see my blog post for the full quote- it's linked below!)

Nolan's daughter, Tally, is the unapologetic scene-stealer in There's Always Someday. This six year old has endless amounts of sass, and is leader of the Clea and Nolan shippers. She's blunt and literal in the way that only a child can be, and her loving bond with Clea drives the story forward. If only I had my own little matchmaker like Tally!

Whenever there is a friends with benefits agreement, it's usually easy to figure out how things will end. Possibility #1 ends with the two individuals hating each other. Which results in the loss of their previous friendship, or the potential for a future one. Possibility #2 ends with the two characters falling in love and living happily ever after. (I want to point out that saying 'happily ever after,' may sound cheesy or juvenile, but isn't that what we all want in our lives? To be happy and healthy?)

From the start of the book, you know you're going to get a happy ending. Which, for me, is part of the appeal of books like this. But, I was not expecting Reeve to be the one to call things off. I thought that Audria would come back from Christmas with her family more homesick than before. And she'd remind Reeve that she will only be in Bampton for a short period of time. In my mind, the book would end with a surprise proposal and Audria would decide to stay in Bampton after getting engaged.

Each time I review a book, I try not to have too many expectations or hopes for it prior to reading. That was especially easy to do with Screwed Up, since it isn't a part of any other series, and all new characters are introduced. Everything that I knew about the book was it was an opposites attract, no strings story featuring a doctor and security guard.

I'm a sucker for opposites attract stories. But, no strings attached themes are not my favorite. But, Dane and Larson grabbed my attention from the beginning, and it only got better. Dane is an angel. He's the guy that's too good to be real. He's so kind and generous (in more ways than one), and it was easy to join Team-Dane.

Not that I wasn't Team-Larson! Larson Belle is just as realistic. She's stubborn, sassy, and incredibly intelligent. She's also caring and goes out of her way to help her patients and coworkers. Her brutal honesty is refreshing, and while she may feel insecure, she doesn't let it show and lets her bold side takeover. (Something I need to learn to do!)

*I was given a free, advanced copy of this book for reviewing purposes.*

Something Like Hate is an enemies-to-lovers workplace romance. After introducing herself at a wedding, a tension-filled conversation that ends with giving him the finger, Vannah cannot stand Landon Winters. After a long dry spell, Vannah begins to think he cursed her. But, when Landon becomes her newest client- and the ticket to a big promotion- she decides to get even.

As soon as I heard the basic outline of the book, I was excited for its release. I have no problem admitting that I love pretty much all happily ever after stories. But, when the couple begins as sworn enemies, I'm even more interested. Enemies-to-lovers situations are kind of a weakness for me. After all, the line between love and hate is very thin.

When I began reading, I didn't know what to expect. But, within minutes I was laughing out loud. The initial meeting of Vannah and Landon was so... intense. Landon isn't used to anyone challenging him, but Vannah's quick wit and determination to wear him down are impossible to ignore.

Their relationship goes from 0 to 60 immediately. They go from strangers to hating each other so rapidly you could get whiplash. If anything is an example of 'well that escalated quickly,' it's their relationship. And when they become romantically involved and not just business partners, they dive in head first. It's all or nothing with them, and I love it.
