This was such a fun story to get lost in, but the writing style was hard to follow at times. I kept finding myself rereading whole pages multiple times because the events occurring wouldn’t make sense with what had previously happened. So much was packed into 400 pages. Some concepts were repeated unnecessarily and I wish that the redundancy could’ve been replaced with spending more time on other aspects of the story. There were so many moments that felt rushed and would’ve been more impactful if more time had been spent there. This story could’ve used another 100 pages easily.
The world building was slightly disappointing - going back to my point of rushing through aspects of the story. It felt more like a story had been written and then dropped in Prythian, than a story had been made FOR Prythian.
Overall, I enjoyed the story and am excited to continue reading the series!

The last hundred or so pages of this book were incredible. I laughed and I cried. Overall a good story, it felt a bit draggy at times, but for what it was they were necessary.
My one giant complaint remains the same for this series. The writing style is garbage. I hate it. So much so I almost gave up while reading ACOWAR (mostly during the draggy parts.) It gives off that wattpad vibe. The dialogue is often lazy and I feel we are cheated out of beautiful moments between Rhys and Feyre because they’re replaced with cheap banter.
For some reason, I still love the series.
