Three by Jane Blythe
5.0
Jane Blythe, once again, delivers a spine-tingling, on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense novel. One and Two were spectacular, which made Three beyond sensational because it merged together all of the characters I just adore. The crime element was much more intense, because, instead of dealing with one serial killer, two killers were wreaking havoc on the town. Ricky and Isabella were a deadly dynamite duo, yet, Isabella had a soft spot in her. It was nice to see that vulnerability.
Having already gotten to read about Xavier and Annabelle, and Ryan and Sofia, it was nice to dig deeper into their lives. I loved getting to know them even better. I was extremely proud of Annabelle, who, out of all of them, struggles the most. To avoid spoilers, I can't tell you why I'm proud of her, but trust me, she will not disappoint!
I can't wait for Four! It's sure to be just as thrilling as the first three!
*I was honored to receive an ARC copy from Jane Blythe. I greedily accept any book of hers because she's an amazing author!

Sweet story:)
A short, sweet story. I especially love John and how he was such a tough guy playing his sport, but a big softie inside. He tried so hard to do things right, messing up unintentionally. Gwen had some serious insecurities, but she tried really hard not to let it hold her back. I loved how they were both tall and matched each other so well. Although, I did have a hard time believing (and picturing) John's height. He was a little too tall in my opinion:)

Good book
I'm torn between wanting to like this book to loving it. While I knew that some part of the story involved going to war, I had no idea it focused a lot on the events of 9/11. I personally did not know anyone affected by those events, but it is still heartbreaking and difficult to think about what happened. For those reasons, I usually shy away from watching movies/reading books that focus on that. I was recommended this book to read, so that's really the main reason I read it.
I enjoyed it. I really liked Fern. It's sad to think that any parent would say they know their child isn't beautiful, even though they're not trying to be mean about it. It is, though. No matter what anyone says, my children are beautiful and will always be beautiful no matter what.
I liked Ambrose as well. He had a lot to live up to and I could see how that would affect him. He was described as handsome before he went to war. I believed that. When he came home with injuries that made him not-so-handsome, I still saw him as handsome. It's what's inside that shows true beauty.

Excellent, once again!
Oh man, so much goodness in this book. I wanted more. So much more, especially of Cale. There's just something about him that makes you love him and want to smack him behind the head for acting the way he does sometimes. I guess that's why Mickey loves him so much.
It was really cool to see more about his disability and the way Mickey treats him like nothing is wrong with him. The best. I love that.
The only part that kept me scratching my head was who the heck is Dixon and what's the problem with him. I can't wait for book three to find out!
