Nice story!

This was a sweet, heartwarming story. It was interesting to see the dynamics in this family and how the little girl struggled with eating problems. It takes a long time for Harper and Cameron to share their feelings, but the story played out nicely.

Excellent

I loved this story. It was such a unique twist to have a story within a story and I love that.

I really enjoyed this story. Joel and Brittany had a wonderful chemistry that was easy to like. The suspense was great and had me wondering who the bad guy was. It's a treat when a book can make you think and wonder. Great story!

Excellent read!

Great book! It took you right from book one into the action. Melanie and Jeremy's relationship develops into a beautiful love that you just can't help but swoon over. Then, a wonderful twist at the end that I didn't see coming. Wendi has sucked me in to crave the next book to see how everything develops:)

I would give this book 3.5 stars. This is my first book by Anna Scott and I won an ARC copy through a giveaway contest. I was excited to get it in the mail and read it.

(Note: I haven't read book 1 or book 2 involving Luke and Jake. Because of this, I was confused at times about some parts of the back stories involving the secondary characters, but obviously because I didn't read the first two books. This did not deter me from the story.)

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I really liked Gavin and how much he cared for Dawn, but him also knowing that it wasn't right to make her wait for him while he was enlisted. What made me start to get frustrated while reading was the lack of communication between the two. Gavin really wanted to explain about why he acted the way he did eight years earlier and Dawn refused to listen. I think they should have talked it out right away because their relationship could have delved into something deeper a lot sooner. That's what I was hoping for anyway.

I'm not always a fan of first person, but that doesn't deter me from reading a book like that. Anna Scott does a great job making me forget that the book is in first person, just enjoying the story as each page turns.

Overall, besides the lack of communication between Dawn and Gavin, I enjoyed this story and how passionate their love could be. I was just hoping to see more of that.

Good read

I enjoyed this book. A lot interesting dynamics going on and some great tension between Jason and Krystyna. If you like historical romance with suspense then this is the story for you.
