Did not finish book. Stopped at 6%.
I read two chapters. Is everyone else reading a different book to me? This author used nonplussed COMPELTELY wrong (see page 4, chp 1, Summers POV) and that completely broke any semblance of enjoyment I could have gotten out of this.  No.

The last book lost me a bit, I felt like it really dragged. I put off spending significant periods of time reading this one because of that, but this book won me back in the end. Sounds like everything is completely changing for the final book, there was a number power dynamic shifts I didn't see coming!

No book has made me ugly cry like this one. I need to take a nap and play harvest moon for a minute

Oh man, I felt the deepest dread every time I turned the page. Seeing John slowly succumb to the hotel was fabulous, I loved the short moments of clarity he got before it dragged him down again.
King does character internal monologues so well, you could really feel everyone losing their minds.

Totally ghoulish, one of my favourite books this year.  It had me on the edge of my seat and I was not convinced at any time that Paul would manage to escape.  The ending was perfect, and I lowkey want to read the book about the boy with the skunk

Not on the same level as Butcher & Blackbird, and it felt a bit convenient that
Lark was also a serial killer, who had never told her fellow serial killer best friend?

Also, the circumstances of the marriage felt bizarre.  Surely there was some problem solving that could have happened before deciding to marry someone you "hate"?  Was talking to them not an option?
I had enough fun, but did not get into it as much as B&B.  Will still read the 3rd when it comes out because weird dysfunctional serial killer found-families are my jam apparently.
ALSO when the author said they would ruin pizza & smoothies for me, I didn't expect that.  Criminal.

This was SO FUN! Somehow the cutest romcom I've ever read, while being about eye plucking serial killers.

It was nice to have everyone together and happy for a brief time!  Did it need to be a whole book?  Perhaps not.  But considering the emotional turmoil these authors have put us through thus far, I feel like we deserved the break.  Then the ending shattered any semblance of peace I had experienced.  My poor little heart.
