Roots run deep by Melody Claire

Well, there goes Melody Claire again, making me like a second chance romance book when I swear I don’t like that trope usually 😂

I think I enjoy the way she writes it because there is a lot of focus on the connection forming, so it’s easier to understand how the couple can get back together for their second chance.

And jeez, Melody is a helluva writer. Her books always make me feel the characters’ emotions—and this book is certainly no exception. I also appreciated the way mental health journeys were represented in 𝘙𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘙𝘶𝘯 𝘋𝘦𝘦𝘱.

I adored both of the main characters, Jason and Zach. They were so gosh-darn lovable, and I enjoyed reading about how their bond formed. I got attached to the side characters as well (the sisters, especially!).

I’m so glad I got a chance to read this beautiful story. So far, this series is fantastic, and I’d recommend people give it a try even if second chance isn’t normally your thing. I’m excited for book 3!
