After my fiasco with Caraval I really wanted to see if the sequel improved a bit or not. (NO).

Same confusing story and idiotic characters :(

I'm giving it 1 star because this time I was able to kinda follow the story. Kinda.

Anyway, I'm done with this series for real now.

My most hated book, ever. Confusing and senseless story, insufferable characters, terrible writing, the plot had more holes than a minefield.

I finished it because I couldn't believe a book this bad had been published AND had sequels.

It's not like other books that I simply dislike, no. What I feel for this book goes beyond normal human feelings, in the worst ways.

"You could have DNF it!"
No, I couldn't. I was truly amazed by the existence of the book, by its wrongness.

The book is good, but extremely heavy. Don't read it if you aren't in a good mental place.

Many people wonder if it has a happy ending. Answer: More like HOPEFUL.

Now this is a take on magic that surprised me. Really nice. I'm intrigued and eager to read the second book

Some parts didn't make sense and there's no spice or slow burn, but I enjoyed the book quite a lot and I did find it funny, perfect for a Summer afternoon!

I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. Fisher and Saeris are a reflection of Rhys and Feyre (ACOTAR), but the similarities didn't sour the book.

I really liked Saeris and the whole Alchemist concept, and the rest of the characters were great too. Worldbuilding was interesting and some sentences had me laughing out loud.

I'm excited to see what the second book brings to the table!

All I feel is absolute disdain and hatred for every (main) character in this book (less for Meridia).

I don't know what was worse, Eva or (practically) everyone's compliance.

Good lord, this book left a very bad taste in my mind
