3.0

It was a good book, albeit violent at times. I would give it a 3.5/5 stars. It was really well written and shows a lot about the culture and the time period. To me that was very interesting. It took a while to get used to reading in the dialect that the majority of the book was written in, but once I got used to it, I got in the flow of the book. The overall feeling of the book was dark, and there was a lot of death in this book. The end of the book there was a feeling of peace, but this isn't a book you want to read if you are wanting to be cheered up. It was hard to get through just for the sake of the subject matter. I'm not regretting that I read it because it was a wonderful insight into a time period and culture that I don't know a lot about, but I don't think this is a book that I would read again.
