This book was so very charming. I loved the writing style. I am sometimes wary of retelling of old fairy tales, but Dokey did a great job. I even teared up. If you love fairy tales and the fuzzy feeling that they can give, than this is a book for you. Mind you, I sought out the original story first, so that I wouldn't have Disney's stuck in my head. This isn't like Disney, but it has more charm. If you are looking for something that is close to the original tale, read this: [b:Beauty and the Beast|14117|Beauty and the Beast|Max Eilenberg|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320468795s/14117.jpg|16200]. This should be read after that, as it gives the basic outline for the original story which is different than what most people are used to.

This book moved me in ways that are hard to describe. It was good enough to go and buy it, and I own so many books, that I only buy them if they are amazing.
