An easy read with a slow pace that matches the end of life theme. Rose and her selected family create a vivid world and a reflective look at death and what rights we hold in it.

A deeply fascinating read

When I can understand why some complained of this book being slow burning it dragged me in in a way no other book has for years. A deeply fascinating story with many different elements being discussed such as- class, changing times and societies, motivations and desires, love, heart break, grief, and of course a good old fashioned ghost story.
